Shed End opened – named The Frank Burnley Stand

This weekend the club were delighted to open our new ‘shed end’ stand for the league fixture against Sheffield FC.

Last season we confirmed the old stand – which was erected by the miners who initially built our home – would be knocked down and rebuilt to modernise the covered area and expand our capacity.

The stand has been named after lifetime supporter/member Frank Burnley as thanks for his support and continued backing of the club over the years. He was also given the opportunity to officially open the stand along with Club Chairman (Trevor Waddington), Vice Chairman (Tom Wiles) and Club Secretary (Tina Goodworth).

The Shed End (Frank Burnley Stand) has been sponsored by Brooke Electrical for the 22/23 season and we are extremely grateful for their support this season.

Everyone will agree the new stand is a great addition to our stadium and we look forward to see our home continue to develop over the coming years.

Finally we would like to thank the Football Foundation who has provided us with a grant to be able to financially support us in our stadia development works.
