Jack Shepherd | On staying at The Colls for next season

We caught up with Jack Shepherd who recently signed a deal with the club, which sees him sign up for the 22/23 season. Here’s what he had to say;

Jack Congratulations on your new deal, tell us what made you want to continue at Ponte?

I feel like the club has a great chance of progression both on and off the pitch and we have a great group of lads, which I think currently isn’t reflected in the league table. I thought it was a great opportunity for myself to stay at a club that I am very happy at.

You have been with the club since September, how have you enjoyed life at Ponte so far?

I have really enjoyed life at Ponte so far, it’s been great! All the staff and players have been class from the first session and as I said I feel it’s a great group we have. This is especially with a great fan base, that following us home and away and it doesn’t go unnoticed and it’s brilliant to see.

It’s been a great season for you so far, what are your ambitions for the rest of this season and going into next season?

Yeah our plan will just be to get as many points between now and the end of the season and see how high in the table we can finish, then to look to carry on form into pre season and next year. Who knows what can happen next year, as I keep saying with the group we have both players and staff and the backing off the pitch there’s certainly no limit for next year. We will look to aim as high as possible, our recent form reflects the potential we have as a squad so we will look to take that into next season and who knows what will happen.
