Pontefract Collieries will unite with the leagues, clubs and players in the weekend Media Boycott.
Saturday it was confirmed that the Premier League and Football League, their clubs and their players would be boycotting social media. The boycott will last from 3pm on Friday 30 April to 11.59pm on Monday 3 May. This comes after what can only be described as increase in social media/online abuse aimed at players across the game.
This stance is one which the club supports, and as part of the football family, we would like to see social media companies to take action to help put a stop to this.
We shall provide all weekend updates early next week. We hope our spectators understand our decision to support this movement, for the overall greater good of the game at all levels of football.
