Colls In the Community

Here at Pontefract Collieries, we pride ourselves on being much more than just a football club. We aspire to be a community hub for all of our local area. You can support our causes by clicking –Donate Here

Pontefract Food Hub
When the Covid-19 Pandemic kicked in (2020), we decided to prioritise the launch of the Pontefract Food Hub. An initiative set up to support people/families in and around Pontefract, who require food, hygiene products and other necessities.

Throughout the pandemic the club has supported many families and will continue to do so beyond the pandemic too.

For more information on how to donate, volunteer or if you require our help please contact us via [email protected].

Education programmes
At Pontefract Collieries we also work closely with education providers E@Keats (Keats Engineering & Education Ltd). Together we provide educational courses and experience, for those in need and to prove as a stepping stone into further employment.

Colls Awarded £25k Buildbase Bursay in Community Club Award
As a club we were delighted to be confirmed, to be one of two clubs, to receive £25k in building materials to support clubs who have supported their community over the last 12 months.

As part of the award Pontefract Collieries pledged to make ground improvements, but to also install a kitchen. This will allow the club to provide cooked meals for many various community recipients, provide cooking lessons and act as a social place for lonely/vulnerable people to meet.

We are also working closely with our local councillors to continue to grow our community prescence. We strive to work hard, to continue to provide a place for people to come meet new people, learn new skills and have fun.
