Williams has unfinished business

Jimmy spent four campaigns with the club, leading us to back to back promotions from the NCEL. The defender had many great moments, none more impressive than his Play-Off Semi Final goal against Ossett Utd.

As a local lad, he has also had experience in management with Ferrybridge Progressive. So he is more than capable of a role in the dugout, he will also feature as player this coming season.

Jimmy had this to say on his return “I’d just like to say I’m buzzing with the move back to Ponte and can’t wait to get started once this pandemic is done with. I will be still carrying on playing as well as being assistant to Rousey. We need to make it a good place to be around, obviously going into my new role the hard work starts now. We are here to win football matches and put a smile back on the fans faces who walk through the gate. We will be playing a brand of football which will be high intensity and attacking, so I will be making sure the players are as fit as they can be and to get the best out of the players on the field.”

We are all buzzing to welcome Jimmy back to the club and look forward to seeing him back in club colours very soon!
