U10s Weekly Update

Colls looked to improve on last week’s draw as they host Tingley at home and it wasn’t long before a mazey run by Noah Round down the left, whipped in a delightful cross towards Harry who could not adjust his feet in time to make contact.

Colls made an early change after 15 mins bringing on Big Jack up top who managed to bundle through the defence leaving a gaping whole for Noah Everit to slip into and when the ball found its way to him he had enough skill to slip it past the advancing keeper 1-0.

Colls looked comfortable as halftime approached and with Charlie and River bossing it at the back keeper Jacob was more of a spectator in the first half. The second half kicked off and Tingley had to attack more to keep themselves in the game but with a re shuffle of the Colls defence they brought in winger Sonny to team up with River and Charlie and it wasn’t long before he proved his point to the coaches that he can defend. As he made a number of tackles and a few breaks out of defence.

Ten minutes into second half and The Colls have a free kick in a dangerous position, up steps Noah Round and his left foot to whip one in however the defender got their 1st only for Noah to have another bite of the apple as his powerful cross found it way to big Jack to smash home his goal 2-0.

Tingley made a few changes putting there best player up top and it wasn’t long before he had an opportunity to run at the Colls defence and make Jacob pull of a number of sensational saves. Colls stuck to there game plan and with Captain Harry linking up with Noah and Zak to create nice passing triangles, it left winger Noah Round to use his ability to get down the left hand side and get his shot away and when the shot was deflected into the path of Jack his eyes lit up as he smashed the ball into the back of the net 3-0.

Tingley were running out of time as they piled on the pressure but with the work rate of Declan and Noah Evrit in midfield it was hard for the visitors to get there break. With three minutes remaining Tingley had one more burst through on Jacobs goal which he could do nothing about for the visitors to get their reward 3-1.
