Ponte’s new man is Vann-tastic

The Colls are delighted to confirm the capture of Jack Vann. Formerly of Tadcaster Albion, Jack is defensive minded player who can play in a number of positions.

Despite his age he has a number of years experience playing at this level, following a stint at Ossett United. The Ex Leeds United youth product, also had spells at Harrogate Town and Gainsborough Trinity, with Jack’s addition he will provide further strength to the squad.

We caught up with Jack to discuss the move.

Welcome to the Colls Jack, what made you want to join the club?

It was a no brainer for me, as soon as the gaffer got in touch really. It is a club I have had my eye on for the last couple of years, seeing them succeed and pushing for promotion and I can’t wait to hopefully help push the team for more. Also my home situation, with the little one, so the less travelling the better for me personally.

Tell us, what are your strengths as a player and what will you bring to the squad?

My personal strengths include being very physical on the pitch, I love getting stuck in and letting the opposition know they’re in for a proper game. I would say I have good long range passing ability and like to organise from the middle of the park.

Finally Jack, do you have a message to your new supporters?

I’m looking forward to starting my journey this season with Ponte, hopefully we can be pushing for the play offs or even better promotion in what looks like a strong league. Can’t wait to get started now!
