Danny Middleton becomes Craig Rouse’s latest recruit to join Ponte. The midfield man has impressed over the mid season break.
Danny previously captained Sherburn White Rose and has been a key figure for local Sunday side Ferrybridge Progressive.
We caught up with Danny to discuss his move.
Welcome to the club Danny, first of all tell us how it feels to be joining Ponte?
I am delighted to be joining ponte, a club that is really going places and a great set up. The club has progressed through the ranks over the last year few years.
How would you describe yourself as a player and what can you bring to the squad?
I would say I am a player who plays on the edge, loves a tackle and can play in a variety of positions!
With the season approaching now, how much are you looking forward to getting back to football again?
It’s been a tough couple of years for everyone and I have massively missed getting up for football every weekend. I cant wait for pre season to get going, get back with the lads and hopefully kick on.
And finally a message to supporters ahead of their return to games too?
It would be great to see everyone back down supporting the boys and getting behind us this year. I know you have missed it as much as we have! Get yourselves down!
