Matchday Preview: Yorkshire Amateurs (a)

This weekend The Colls are on the road again following our midweek defeat away at Marske United. Craig Rouse’s men took plenty of plaudits despite the result and will be looking to build on this, at fellow West Yorkshire rivals ‘The Ammers’.

Yorkshire Amateurs were promoted from the NCEL Premier Division last season via PPG restructuring. Our hosts currently sit in 12th place in the league ladder, on 15 points from their opening fourteen games. However their current form sees them collecting only two points from their last six games. The Colls have picked up six points over the same period, having looked to turn a corner in terms of performance in recent games.

The two sides have played once already this season, this being in the FA Trophy where Yorkshire Amateurs progressed on penalties following a 90th minute equaliser.

Tomorrow’s fixture is at ‘The Ammers’ Bracken Edge home for a 3pm kick off, their ground can be found at LS7 4JG. Admission prices for the game are £8 for Adults and £4 for U16s and concessions. https://www.pontefractcollieries.com/match/yorkshire-amateur-vs-the-colls/.
