Ahead of our New Years Day fixture at Liversedge, we caught up with our exciting winger João Rangel to discuss recent form and looking to the new year ahead!
We head into the game with Liversedge in good form, which coincides with your own recent performances. How have you enjoyed it?
Yes, it will be a challenging game for us, we know that Liversedge are in good form at the moment but the way we have been playing in our recent games, has been giving us the boost of confidence to keep going and perform better and better. I believe we can come out with the 3 points, with the ability and the quality we have.
You’ve become a real fans favourite, is it something you pride your game on entertaining fans?
It’s been my style of play since a young age. I have always loved dribbling, creating chances and beating players 1v1, but that’s not important. The most important thing for me is to win games.
You managed to get your first goal for the club in the last game is that something you’re keen to add to your game?
Yes 100%, goals and assist will help me individually wise and the team as well. Especially in my position, playing as a winger, my objective is to score goals or create chances for others to score.
A big second half to the season for 2022, what can we expect from you and The Colls?
Only God knows the future but if we carry on the way how we are, I strongly believe we can reach the play offs and go far. We just need to keep going and prepare ourselves right before every matchday to gives us that extra 1%.
