Thrilling game for the yellows, although they lost heroically 4-3 to Duffield. At times it was like watching the great escape, as the lads battled on still taking it to the wire at 3-3 in the last quarter. Until a slight breeze blew their striker over in the box for a penalty to make it 4-3.
But never mind the result all the boys gave 110% with the newer kids to the game settling in great and getting stuck in. A hat trick hero’s performance from Zack with two worldies followed by fox in the box reactions, would usually have been enough to win anyone the mom trophy. But even Zack agreed it should go to the all action billy bulldozer for constant work rate and been all over the pitch.
Proudest point for the coaches, aside from his performance despite getting kicked from pillar to post whenever one of there players was down, he and our other players would always go over and help them up and see if they were ok. Great set of kids these and can’t wait to see this team go onto great things together UTC!!
