Colls travel to Squires Gate in a bid to set club record

The Colls have been drawn away to Squires Gate in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. The NWCFL side have beaten Ashton Athletic, Macclesfield FC and North Shields in the competition so far. They have had an indifferent start to their league season, not too dissimilar to ours (with one win, three draws and a loss).

The Colls powered through fellow NWCFL side Barnoldswick Town in the First Qualifying Round to set up this tie, with Vaughan Redford scoring a brace either side of a Scott Brown header. The Colls now have a chance to create history, this stage of the FA Cup equals the clubs record. A victory would create history as the furthest the club has got in England’s most famous cup competition.

The tie will take place on Saturday 18th September (3pm Kick Off), if fans are interested in making the journey to get behind the boys please comment below or message us on social media to register your interest.
