The Colls, like everyone, over the last year have had to keep going through COVID. Due to the virus we (as a club) have been unable to bring in any form of income whether this is match day tickets, bar sales or events hosted at the club.
Pontefract Collieries are a self sustainable football club, that looks to play a key part in supporting our local community. We set up the Food Hub during the Pandemic as we realised the need for support to those in need. It was always a plan to run such project, however the pandemic expedited this. We work in partnership with Knottingley Morrison’s to provide food parcels and hygiene products to those in need.
Now with the new football season ahead of us, we are will be running a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to support funding for our age groups, food hub, community projects and to carry out renovations to prepare the facilities for the upcoming season.
We have received a number of items in which we will be auctioning off to raise funds for the ‘Colls Crowdfunder’, as well as a donation button on this article and the homepage.
